CAT 2024 is to be conducted by IIM Calcutta on November 24, 2024. According to last year trends, the number of students appearing for CAT exam 2024 is expected to be around 3 lakhs.

Eligibility to take CAT 2024
- Candidates having a bachelor's degree with minimum of 50% (45% for reserved category) in any stream or its equivalent from a UGC-recognized university.
- The final year students are also eligible to apply for the CAT entrance exam 2024.
How Many Students Qualifying for CAT
Around 10,000 candidates clears the CAT cutoff from all the applicants. They will get invitation for individual interview rounds at various IIMs. The total number of seats in IIMs is around 5,500. As more than 2 lakh candidates appear for the CAT exam, only a few get into the IIMs. So the success rate for switching IIMs is around 2%.
